We have three levels of policies for checking out books.
1. Kindergartners and first graders: These students have library once a week. They are able to check out 1 book for one week. They are not charged for overdue books, however, if a book is lost or damaged they are responsible for the cost to replace it
2. Second graders have library once per week. They are allowed to check out three books for two weeks. They are not charged for any overdue books, but again, if a book is lost or damaged, they are responsible for the cost to replace it.
3. Third - eighth graders are allowed to check out three books for a two week time period. After that two week time period, if the student has not returned a book, they are charged .05 cents per day until the book is returned. They are also responsible to pay for for lost or damaged books. The third - fourth grade classes have library once per week. The fifth - eighth graders do not have a formal library time. They come in as needed.
All Students are able to renew a book at any time. If they renew a book that is overdue, they still are responsible for the overdue fine that occurred before the book was renewed.
